Hi Mandy Jo,

I haven't e-mailed you in a long time. Sushi is absolutely adorable and she could not possibly be more spoiled or loved. She has gone surfing on a Boogie board, riding on our boat and swimming on the river.  Her favorite thing is to ride on back of the boat and let the wind blow her hair. Actually, her favorite thing is anywhere we are! My husband, (the I only like big dogs man) adores her. Sushi sleeps on HIS pillow if she wants, rides on his lap in the car--he even occasionally will give her at treat from the dining table.  He wants another Sushi so much he asked me if I would breed her. Of course, I gave a resounding NO! I told him we could possibly lose her because she's so small. That effectively made him agree that it's too risky, he couldn't live with losing her. He even puts up with her 5,000 toys and beds and chewies all over the house, (she has a basket in every room).

Also, we want to purchase a tiny white female from you in the future and would like to know how to go about that. I know that you don't have any right now, but we definitely want one. In the future when you breed Sugar will you let us know? We will put a deposit if necessary.
I am so impressed with your breeding standards.  Every where I go people ask where we got Sushi from and I give all of them your web site. Her personality, health and physical traits are rare in Poms. I always hear Poms are snooty and they bite!  I just tell them not the Poms Mandy Jo breeds. And look at her precious, adorable face! It's amazing, the differences I notice in the other Poms I see. Everyone wants a Sushi! She has it all, thanks to you, Mandy Jo.
She is soooo good with our cocker. She seems to sense that Kane' can't scratch herself or clean her eyes. Sushi drives her crazy cleaning her. She always waits until Kane' is done eating before she will eat. We can't even force her to eat first. She follows her everywhere and cuddles up to her always., They are inseparable and it has put a "new" spark into Kane'. They love each other completely. I want to thank you for that because we really thought that we'd have to put Kane' to sleep very soon, but she is doing absolutely marvelous. She's playing like a puppy and that has helped her paralysis considerably.  She's still in a diaper, which Sushi grabs and brings to her when I change her, but she hasn't had the recurring infections she was getting. It's been amazing. I will send more pictures soon. I only have a couple to send now. Our computer is in need of an overhaul, but we've got it running god enough to send you theses for now.
Thank you, Mandy Jo, you've brought more joy than you can imagine to all of our lives! We love you for that. Our door is still open if you come to California ever. How's college going? Good I hope. I'll be writing again soon.  Love, Doralise and all of us. CA

Nicole is an absolute jewel. She was great the whole trip and sat on my lap without complaining at all. Both Donna and I just love her. (Donna is going to be her godmother.) We stayed at Donna's house last night and Nicole whined so much in her crate that we all ended up sleeping in the same bed (2 dogs and 2 adults). Jamocha really likes Nicole and showed her around the park behind where he lives. We also went to PetSmart and got her a lot of new toys.
Donna and I were very happy to meet you and your mom. It's great to know that your Poms are raised with so much love. They can't help but become the best companions. I will keep you posted on Nicole's progress periodically. I can already tell that she is going to be the best companion in the world! Thanks,

Sherilee,  CO

Hi Mandy Jo,
Thank you for the photo -- now we know what you look like!! Buttons first vet visit is set for Monday at 11:30!! She did receive a dose of Nutrical this am with her dish of puppy food and cooked ground sirloin!! Which she ate very well I might add!! She is a little beggar though...LOL. She is doing very well with my female corgi and my corgi Alex is very very patient with her. Buttons went down to the bus stop with Tanner this morning and we took a nice little trot around the back yard. She does very well on the harness and leash we bought her.
She is very loving and loves to sit in my lap while I am reading or at the computer. She is so beautiful!! We are still in the race for Therapy Dogs of Vermont which I think will be wonderful for her and the children she will be going to visit!! I am excited about that! I will be sending the photos of her in her new home as soon as I transfer them onto a disc because I want to take photos of her as she changes.
Much Love and Friendship,
Phyllis and Ted, VT

                      A Star is Born !

"Mandy Jo!  Sorry I have not been in touch more, but I have been crazed....hehe ....However, Toby has been discovered and even has his own agent! Toby was spotted with me, last week at the local dog park and unbeknownst to me a Animal Actor Agent was present and "scouting" for new talent. Turns out that she is one of the largest Animal Actor Agents in the world! She handles the bookings for Sat Night Live, Conan, all the HBO shows, many movies, TV shows like Friends, Will and Grace, print ads and commercials. Upon seeing Toby, she fell in love and asked me to come for a screen test ( thank God he had obedience classes!!!!!!!!) He had the screen test today and he passed with flying colors, in fact he has been booked for his first job! It will be a print ad for Channel HandBags and he will appear with Heidi Klum (An International Super Model), he will play her dog and will be sitting in her handbag...(He only weighs 4 pounds)....It will be shot next week and will appear in " the Classy Magazines" like Vogue, Town and Country, Esquire etc.....

What works in Toby's favor is that he is small ( he topped out at 4 pounds he is almost 8 months and I don't think he will get much bigger if he grows at all) also his foxy face, most poms have a wider face. Also his coloring is exactly what they want as it is different variants of cream, so it really shows up..an all white or black dog won't show up as well on the camera. Also, Toby's personality really comes into play, he super friendly to everyone human or otherwise, he loves attention and he is eager to please, and his training is really paying off.

Last but not least, Toby is very, very intelligent--I don't want to boast but even my vet and the obedience trainers mentioned it to me many times how smart he is. Today Toby really posed for the cameras, he looked right at it and cocked his head------too damn cute!!

I have to tell you that whenever I walk him, I always get stopped over and over and over by people who are amazed at how cute he is! ( I love it!) I am glad that you have a website, cause I ran out of cards and it is much easier to give people a web address instead of telling them to look up "Wray" in Parnell, MO

As things progress, I will update you."

Little Skyler Blue--A Big Sky of Sunshine!

"Hey Mandy!! I'm so glad to hear from you!! Skyler is the most beautiful little boy in the world. He LOVES to play fetch. He has so many toys but he loves his monkey, shark (big boy toy!) and of course his blue bunny! I sent some photos today so hopefully you'll have them soon. I'm picking more up tonight and hope I got at least one good one. He really has changed from the photos I sent.

I think people can tell you such a GREAT person. That photo you sent is so cute I want all of them!! The one reminds my of Skys newborn photo. The one thing he loves to do is bite so I'm trying to teach him its bad. I put his bed on mine and since its against the wall I don't worry if he wants to get down he wakes me up (he's so smart!!)

                   A Little Spitfire!
"I couldn't even begin to tell you how happy he makes us.  He is so healthy and so happy, and that could only have happened because he was treated so well before we got him.  I would be more than happy to say something about shipping him cargo.  I know that I was a little apprehensive at first the thought of him being by himself and getting scared, but you set up his crate so nicely and the airline treated him very well.  That might be something that would make someone looking at your website feel more comfortable. Just a thought, but if there is a message you are trying to get across, i would be more than happy to comment

Just to tell you a little about Monty, he is a little spit fire.  Always wants to play, we have a tiny stuffed goldfish that squeaks, and we tell him to find Nemo and searches the room until he get the fish.

He loves people more than anything else.  Always excited when someone comes into the house, but he also acts as our protector by barking if  he knows someone is out front, like the mailman or UPS guy. He knows a whole bunch of tricks, like sit, paw, other paw, down, rollover, and dance.  He is a super smart puppy.
Monty loves to be mischievous, always needs to know what everyone is doing, and is constantly checking up on people to make sure they are where they are supposed to be.  My Aunt it his favorite visitor, probably because she has five cats and a dog, and always talks in a high voice and brings treats.  But he gives the best greetings.
I really can't stop bragging about him.  People that don't like dogs fall in love with Monty, he is amazing.
Well let me know what you think of the pictures, if you wanted one for your website a current picture I can have my brother take one on the computer."
Thanks Again,
Melissa

                 Adorable twosome!

"We enclosed a few picts of our adorable twosome.  I hope you can open the attachments alright.  He is quite beautiful.  He reminds me of his daddy, Bibs.  He has a ton of silky black hair and the same face, too.  He kept that white bib in front and the white on his paws.  The tan got darker and other colors faded.  He actually looks a lot more like Snickers did now.  I still think that Nico could have been a show dog--not that I want that for him, but  he has the personality they look for!  He doesn't just walk--he prances and bounces with a lively step.  His front legs really kick out like a band leader.  He's quite a baby!  Honey Bear likes to go off by himself where it is dark to nap, but not Nico.  He has to be right by me.  If I get up and leave a room, he gets up and follows me. He sometimes wakes me in the morning by licking my face.  He's real affectionate, sweet, and happy.   He always seems to be smiling.

He can be real rambunctious, chasing and flying around the house, but if you pick him up, he instantly calms down and is content to lay in your arms.  I sometimes think that's why he does that--to get attention.  Nico and Honey Bear are great friends and typical brothers. Honey Bear has always been an escape artist and continues to amaze us as he finds ways to get out of the fenced in yard.  Nico never leaves the yard to follow him, though.  Instead, he barks like crazy and runs to the door to "tattle" on H.B.   Nico Nov2003 ovalRS.jpg (58355 bytes)nico and buddy RS.jpg (57014 bytes)Nico in shockRS. jpg.jpg (55955 bytes)

As you can see in the picts, the brown dog you gave him as a pup is still a favorite!  They both love that toy and Nico often sleeps with it.

Likewise, Pebbles loves her white dog.  She carries it around like a baby and also sleeps with it.  I will have to send you some picts. of her.  You won't even recognize her--she has changed the most.  She is mostly orange with some sable and lots of white on her chest, like Nico.  She is really pretty.  My dad calls her "Princess".  One day he said, "Princess, go find your prince, where is he?"  She went behind the chair and found Rusty.  My dad is convinced she's a genius!

Pebbles is crazy about Rusty, and he has warmed up to her as well.  He wags his tail whenever she's around.  Pebbles and Nico both have the foxy face, though their faces are smaller than our other poms--and simply adorable.   Pebbles loves squeaky toys.  My mom bought her a dog that plays "Who Let the Dogs Out"  when she bites it in the middle.  She sets it off all the time.  She loves getting together with Nico, but gets upset when it's time for him to go home.   They are just terrific dogs and we are all very happy with them.

 Dancin' Into Their Hearts

Mandy Jo, I just thought that I didn't really give you an update on our babies when I sent the pictures and thought you might like to hear some current news on them. Dakota has a new member in her family. Janet's daughter just had a baby and they live with Janet.  Dakota is very protective of little Christian and loves to give him kisses. She is still just as spoiled as ever and doesn't seem to be all that affected by the new baby. Her hip seems to have healed and doesn't give her anymore trouble. Rosco is, well, just Rosco. He's our boy, that's for sure. He loves everyone and will show off his dance to anyone who will watch.  One the other hand, Casper is a very big boy. The vet gave Kevin pretty strict instructions about feeding him so much from the table. We do it too but we know when to quit. Kevin doesn't understand that too much isn't good for him. You will have a hard time finding one that is loved more than Casper.

He is the best thing we ever did for Kevin. I will try to get recent pictures of him for you soon. I think the last one I sent was the one of them on their b-day.  Well, that's about all the recent news. I'll write again soon and send pictures for your website. We talk often about bringing another one home. You know if we decide to you'll be the first to know.
