A big
Thank You to everyone who got out and voted--especially those who spent
tireless hours emailing, calling, passing out brochures and signs--and
even those who simply told friends and family. Although the outcome was
not in our favor--we got our message out loud and clear. Nearly 1 million
people voted against this deceptive Proposition! We certainly didn't go
down without a fight! And we don't even have rich celebrities backing us!!
Someone
recently predicted that Corporations will be running America--not the
voters! If we don't want to see that happen--we need to stick together. We
have the power to change our future!
The
fight is far from over. Feel free to donate to your local animal shelters
or local humane society--but don't let the Power and Money hungry HSUS see
another penny! They are not in the best interest of this country.
Please
say a little prayer for the many animals and breeders this bill will
affect--pray that they find good homes and are not dumped, shot, or
killed. Shelters will not take on the many dogs that will have to be relinquished
due to the new laws in this bill. For many, raising quality purebred dogs
is their livelihood and passion. For some disabled individuals--it
is their only means of a small income. Now an outside corporation with
celebrity status has come in and striped them of those rights and
freedoms.
